“Purple Turtle” Animated Television Series - CASTING CALL

Are you between the ages of 6-12? We are looking for boys and girls to be the voices of a new series called Purple Turtle.
The series is an animated series comprising of 52 x 7min series co produced with Telegael, An Spidéal, County Galway and Aadarsh in India. Purple Turtle follows the adventures of Purple Turtle as he celebrates the joy of childhood curiosity and discovery. Purple Turtle features the world’s cutest turtle, a little guy who stands out of the normal crowd because he tends to think differently than others, or better yet, a bit “out of his shell.”
CASTING VOICES
You should read the attached script (click here) into a tape machine or digital recorder such as a suitable mobile phone.
You can audition for a number of the characters but please submit each audition as separate recording.
PURPLE TURTLE is a dreamy but very positive, emotional character and should be voiced by a boy between 7 and 11.
ROXY is playful but sensible. She is a bit cautious and worries sometimes. She should be voiced by a girl of 7 - 10
ZING is a wild, enthusiastic bunny. He jumps from place to place and is always bursting with energy. Sometimes he is difficult to control. He should be voiced by a boy of 7 - 10.
TADLEE is the baby of the group. He is a boy but could be voiced by a boy or girl of 6 - 8.
MELODY has to be able to sing. She is happy and sings a lot but she is very particular and want’s everything to be just right. She should be voiced by a girl of 7-10.
We’re looking for voices that are full of energy and expression. No acting experience required
A shortlist of applicants will be invited to a recording session at Telegael in Spiddal to audition and those chosen for a role in the series will be invited to a further recording session.
